Cellulite

Deka has invented exclusive methods for treating and overcoming the problem of cellulite, exploiting an instrumental approach that targets the specific developmental conditions in progress. The Triactive and Smartlipo systems ensure the most appropriate intervention matched to the developmental stage of the cellulite.

"Cellulite" is not the correct term for identifying the changes in the subcutaneous panniculus adiposus that are primarily of an aesthetic nature and found prevalently, if not exclusively, in the female sex. This term is incorrect since the suffix "ite" really means an acute inflammatory process, whereas in this case we are dealing with a chronic degenerative process of the dermo-hypodermic structures. The sites most frequently affected are the thighs, buttocks, knees and less frequently, abdomen and upper arms.

In etiopathogenetic terms, a genetic predisposition has been recognised, associated with concurrent causes of an endocrinal, environmental, postural and iatrogenous nature.

The correct term for this pathology is Oedematous Fibrosclerotic Panniculopathy, which clearly highlights the distressed conditions of the fat cells. The initial stage is illustrated by a capillary-venular stasis that generates an increase in permeability and inter-adipocytary oedema. If left untreated, the process gradually and inexorably moves through progressive stages towards the formation of macronodules, sclerosis of the derma, and skin with a "mattress" appearance.

Triactive system

This instrument restores the normal homeostatic skin conditions through a threefold action:

Deep laser stimulation: which activates the artero-venous and lymphatic micro-circulation, at the same time exerting a positive effect on the fibroblast activity.

Localised cooling: acting in synergy with the laser, intensifying the oedema reduction and reabsorption effect.

Dermal massage: rhythmic suction stimulates mobilisation of the tissues, restoring normal elastic-collagen tightening, with a positive effect on the veno-lymphatic structures as well, since the laser passage amplifies the draining action in line with the physiology of both systems.

The progressive massaging and stimulation action on the connective and adipose tissues enables physiological reactivation of the biological mechanisms for eliminating residues and oxygenating the tissues, thus reproducing a harmonic realignment of the connective structure. These three combined effects produce a reduction in the cellulite and also in fluid retention. It also tones, elasticises, and firms the skin, generating a harmonious remodelling of the figure.

Smartlipo system

This system enables minimally invasive treatment with targeted destruction of the micronodules and macronodules that characterise the final stages of cellulite, which would not otherwise be treatable. The selective action of the Nd:YAG laser beam is conveyed by microcannules of a diameter of 1mm or 1.4mm carrying an optic fibre of 300 µm or 600 µm. Similar to Laserlipolysis, where the main goal is to break the membrane of the adipocytes, in this case the action of the Smartlipo laser targets the capsule surrounding the nodules.

Once the Smartlipo treatment is complete, the Triactive system is used to restore and preserve the normal physiological homeostatic conditions of the tissues to maintain the results over time.
