Smartxide HS
The new CO2 laser systems with incorporated electronic control system for scanning, coupled with the EasySpot micromanipulator are the step forward that laryngeal CO2 Laser microsurgery has been waiting for.

CO2 is now scientifically recognised worldwide as the Gold standard for microsurgery of the soft tissues.
A wavelength (10,600nm) that is efficaciously absorbed by the water contained in the tissues, ergonomics, and user-friendliness, combined with its technical features, unique on the market, all make this laser the surgeon's most valid and safest assistant.
SmartXide HS, coupled with the scanner with integrated Hiscan Surgical management and Easyspot micromanipulator, is designed especially to become the new standard in ENT laryngeal microsurgery. The remote control on the Joystick head enables the surgeon to keep all the main functions under control with an ease y never experienced until now, without ever having to take his/her eyes off the operating microscope.
In addition, this instrument allows for carrying out various types of surgery: minor dermatological surgery, colposcopic gynaecological microsurgery and proctological surgery.
All thanks to precise, versatile, efficacious and safe management of the laser pulse and the accessories designed for the various specialisations.
With SmartPulse technology it is possible to generate perfectly controlled energy emissions and dominate the peak powers, thus exalting the ablative capacity of the CO2 laser and limiting lateral thermal damage.
Advantages of the SmartPulse-Hiscan Surgical technology:
- Control of the ablation depth
- Control of the thermal damage (haemostasis, shrinking of the collagen)
- Integrity of the surrounding tissues

CO2 laser microsurgery has never been so easy.
HiScan Surgical and EasySpot micromanipulator are the winning combination for the laser-assisted laryngeal scanner.
Thanks to the ESLA technology and the possibility of adjusting the energy density and dwell time of each single spot on the tissue, HiScan Surgical controls the ablation depth and percentage of coagulation during cutting.
The HiScan Surgical is able to generate the most useful scanning shapes for surgery, including:

- Lines
- Circular curves until forming a complete circle
- Spirals
- Hexagons (progressive and interlaced scanning)
- Double ellipses (MiniScan mode)

Hiscan Surgical

- Always well-defined precise cuts
- Control of the degree of coagulation with each cut
- Ablation with single, repeated and continuous scanning (also with the number of passes set by the user)
- "Diode off while lasing" function for perfect viewing of the ablation sites
- Two operating modes:
- Depth mode - priority given to cutting depth;
- Power mode - priority given to scanning speed
- Joystick for controlling:
- Rotation of the ablation figures with dual speeds.
- Dimensions of the ablation figures.
- "Scan on - Scan off" strokes and vice-versa.
- Fine tuning of centring.

| Adaptable to all operator microscopes | |
- "EasyPlug" system: quick and easy connections and internal wiring
- All the main functions are under the surgeon's direct control without ever taking his/her eyes off the microscope thanks to the remote control on the joystick head (supplied with HiScan Surgical)
- "EasyFocus" system: the focusing and defocusing systems are housed in a single ring nut with mechanical locking of the focal point selected.
- "Easyfield" system: Gradual mechanical adjustment of the maximum working field for absolute beam control inside the laryngoscope.

Also available:
Handpieces with fixed focal points
2", 4", 5", 7" with open or closed terminals, straight or with backstop
Handpieces with variable focal points
(for varying the spot without altering the working distance) straight terminal or with backstop
Special handpieces:
